SIYB Africa Limited was established in 1984, originally as IYB-Kenya, established by International Labour Organization (ILO) as a pilot project to promote enterprise development through training, research and consultancy services in various areas of the small- and micro-scale enterprise sector. It eventually evolved into an autonomous company in 1993. The company name was then changed into SIYB Africa Limited in 2019. The company prides itself as the pilot project of the ILO “Improve Your Business” training approach for Small and Micro-scale entrepreneurs whose results have been replicated in over one hundred countries across the world.
